Edwin Chiew of St James’ Park, London and a syndicate of six others took out the biggest 49’s win at Betfred and what we believe to be the biggest EVER 49’s win! Congratulations guys! Although Betfred didn’t reveal the exact bet Mr Chiew placed, we understand that he staked £160 in total (well, there was six bettors) and matched four out of the five balls. We’re unsure if he was betting on a straight or an exotic (Yankee, Canadian, etc). A Betfred regular from the Radford shop, who has decided to remain anonymous, managed to bag a £55,000 return from a £2 stake. Although the bet was placed online through the Ladbrokes.com website we believe the lucky punter didn’t compare her odds before choosing her bookmaker - if she’s compared her odds first she would have gone for William Hill where the same bet would have netted her £160,000 - a whole £10,000 more.
