Wondering what the 49’s team of presenters have been up to? There have been some changes in the team, so you may see your favourite presenter more than ever before. And even some of the presenters’ lives have changed drastically since the last time you saw them.
So, let’s get you up to speed on your 49’s hosts.
The Switch: Emma & Helen
Emma is a face you all know very well and she’s part of the 49’s family for many. But now it’s time for her to embark on a US adventure. We will surely miss her fun-loving personality!
It’s a very sad day here in the #49sDraw studio, as we say goodbye to #Emma49s. #Emma49s is moving to the USA 🇺🇸 to start a new adventure. You will be truly missed by all. ❤️🤍💙 pic.twitter.com/5E1etGKo68— 49's Draw (@49sdraw) October 22, 2021
Good luck on the new chapter Emma! Follow her online to see what she’s up to.
What’s your favourite Emma-moment?
Luckily, Helen Longman was ready to step into Emma’s shoes. Yes, you’ve seen her helping with the occasional draw in the past. But now she’ll be a regular 49’s face and we’re loving the energy she’s bringing into the studio.
Looking forward to many lunch times and tea times with you Helen!
Gorgeous Mom Gina
If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen Gina Whitaker around, it’s because this stunning lady did the amazing thing of bringing a little life into this world. Yes, Gina took a break from 49’s in October and is now a proud mom! But she came back from maternity leave at the start of this month and it’s great to have her smile back in action.
Turned up for my last shift before mat leave like this today, well I’ve gotta go out in style right?! Not sure if a 37 week pregnant woman was the customer @zara had in mind when designing this “piece”! 🙃 but it’s so comfy! #37weekspregnant #pregnancystyle #🤰🏻 #maternitystyle pic.twitter.com/U48E4HOytt— Gina Nicole Whitaker (@Gina_N_Whitaker) October 9, 2021
Harriet and Her Winning Horse
The presenters hope to create lots of winners twice a day, and they also use some of that luck for themselves. Harriet had a virtual horse take part at Portman Park and it won!
Want to try to taste this type of victory while you wait for the next 49’s draw?
Then, apart from 49’s at lunch or teatime, why not try your hand at the races yourself? You can keep up to date regarding the latest results, thanks to our Portman Park results page.
Did Sophie Drop the Cake?
There are huge celebrations because of 49’s celebrating 25 years of draws. So, from hanging Christmas baubles to eating bright blue cakes, the presenters have had fun celebrating. But you don’t want to be the one dropping the cake—which explains Sophie’s expression when she was handed a celebratory confectionary.
Tony Giving Us Tips on Mental Health
February is all about love, and Tony’s recent post reminded us to care for those around us. Whether it’s Christmas or Valentine’s Day, not everyone has it easy during seasons focused on relationships. It can make someone feel especially lonely and even cause mental health issues. So, between this month’s roses, chocolates and red hearts, why not do a favour for one person in your network? A 49’s draw could change a life—and so can you!
This time of year can be tough for lots of people. Just sending out some big ❤️to you and wanted to say how grateful I am to everyone involved in my Xmas. Nothing but ❤️ for you all. #xmas2021 #itsalllove #itsoktonotbeok #mensmentalhealth #attitudeofgratitude💫 #xmas2021 pic.twitter.com/vbGWJb8jKQ— tony craig (@TonyCraigTV) December 30, 2021
