Surprise Presenter!
Those of you that watched the 49’s draw this Monday would have noticed a new presenter - Jochen. This certainly caused a stir on social media with several 49’s fans commenting that they didn’t recognise this person and why wasn’t there some sort of formal introduction? However, the reason for this was that Tony was taken ill at the last minute so Jochen - who’s usually the voice-over for 49’s draws - took over. We think Jochen did a fantastic job, take a look below and see for yourselves:
New Presenter Videos on 49s.co.uk
On the official 49’s website, they have released a new set of videos that feature each presenter chatting about a wide range of topics including personal stories, favourite 49’s bet, top-rated travel destination and more. Here are some of our favourite titbits from each presenters video:
- Helen: If I could visit one place in the world it would be - New York. My biggest fear and phobia is - Spiders!
- Sophie: Favourite food is a new one - Sushi. If I could switch lives with someone for the day it would be the US President so I could discover who shot JFK and if we really landed on the moon. Favourite 49’s bet - Canadian
- Tony: Favourite food - Sunday roast hands down. Favourite way to spend a day off - hiking in the mountains. Favourite quote - Teddy Roosevelt quote on “It’s not the critic that counts”
- Gina: Hidden talent - writing short stories that rhyme. My unusual fear/phobia is large indoor spaces that are empty, like aircraft hangars. Favourite 49’s bet - the classic Pick 3 Match 3.
- Kirsty: Hidden talent - I seem to have a knack for embarrassing my teenage children if that counts? Favourite book - Angel Meadows about the Victorian slums in Manchester.
- Daniel: Hidden talent - I can make balloon shapes including a flower, dove and sword. Favourite quote - Love the job you do and you’ll never do a day’s work in your life. Favourite 49’s Bet - Trixie Bet.
You can see all the videos for yourself here.
