Although it’s not one of the most well-known numbers betting games in the UK, the 49’s has a loyal following – and for good reason!
After all, there’s not many lottery numbers games out there that are drawn twice every single day, not to mention the great odds available and the opportunity to customise your 49’s bet by being able to choose how many numbers you’d like to bet on and even where you want to bet.
So, are there any real alternatives to the 49’s if you want to mix things up a bit?
Well, luckily there are a few lottos that offers something kind of similar... and we’ve summarised the best 49’s alternatives for you below.
49’s Lotto and Numbers Games Alternatives
Daily Millions
As you can probably guess by the name, Daily Millions has some clear similarities to the 49’s Lotto, in that, well, it takes place every day – and not just that... it actually has two draws daily, just like the 49’s!
The Daily Millions was launched in Ireland in 2012 and replaced the previous Monday Million game, bringing players more lotto fun throughout the week.
The game has 39 numbers, six of which are drawn, as well as a bonus ball.
The best odds you can get on one number being drawn on Daily Millions is 5/1* at Betfred, while correctly predicting five numbers will land you huge odds of 66,000/1* (Odds correct at time of writing and subject to change). While these odds are shorter than those available on the 49’s, it is worth noting that you actually have a better chance of winning as there are 10 fewer numbers in the draw.
Nifty Fifty
Launched in just May 2020, Nifty Fifty is one of the UK’s newest numbers games and is available exclusively to bet on at Betfred.
While the Nifty Fifty sees one more ball in the draw (50 – who’d have guessed it) than the 49’s, it does actually manage to outdo the 49’s in some other ways...
For starters, the Nifty Fifty is not just drawn daily. It’s not even drawn just twice daily. Nifty Fifty has a whopping three draws, every single day of the week. They take place at 11:30, 14:30 and 18:30 – and can all be watched live at Betfred.com.
Like the 49’s, six balls are drawn in Nifty Fifty, plus one extra bonus ball.
The odds on offer with Nifty Fifty are, however, slightly higher than 49’s odds. For example, three numbers gives you whopping odds of 800/1* on Nifty Fifty compared to 700/1* for three numbers on 49’s, while matching five numbers gives you staggering odds of 200,000/1*, compared to the 49’s 150,000/1.* (Odds correct at time of writing and subject to change).
